The community is just 10 minutes from the renowned Westlake Academy, an open enrollment International Baccalaureate® (IB) school in operation since 2003. Encompassing grades K-12, Westlake Academy is a city-owned and operated charter school and is recognized as one of the nation’s top educational institutions. Being an IB school means that Westlake Academy provides unique educational programs for serious students who are motivated to excel academically and develop their full potential.

As part of a well-rounded education, Westlake Academy offers various clubs and activities including athletics, team sports, special interest groups and philanthropic clubs to help develop students’ interpersonal skills and teamwork, as well as aiding in professional development. In 2019 U.S. News and World Report ranked Westlake Academy high school 13th in Texas and 116th in the U.S.

Additionally, outstanding Southlake-Carroll ISD schools serve The Knolls at Solana. CISD is one of the largest school districts in the state of Texas to earn the coveted Texas Education Agency “Exemplary” rating. CISD offers advanced placement and honors courses, in addition to challenging curricula for gifted and talented students. The district also offers programs designed for special needs students.

CISD schools are highly awarded having received National and State recognition for academics, athletics and fine art programs including six University Interscholastic League Lone Star Cup Championships and five National Blue Ribbon School awards.
